Defence cooperation with Brunei discussed

A five-member Brunei defence delegation, led by the Permanent Secretary of Defence of Brunei, Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Hamid called on Secretary Defence Production Lieutenant General Shahid Siddiq Tirmizey on Wednesday and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Both sides underscored the need for enhancing co-operation in the area of defence. Secretary Defence Production briefed the visiting dignitary about the potential of defence production units of Pakistan and various other defence-related projects particularly the JF-17 Thunder Aircraft.
Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Hamid praised the quality and standard of the defence equipment being produced in Pakistan. He also informed the Secretary about his fruitful discussions held with senior defence and military officials of Pakistan and hoped that his visit would further help in cementing and broadening defence co-operation between the two brotherly countries.
