Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 75,126 tonnes cargo including 47,546 tonnes import, 27,580 tonnes export cargo and 2,667 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 50,404 tonnes dry cargo including 33,681 tonnes general cargo; 7,462 tonnes fertiliser; 2,459 tonnes rice; 6,802 tonnes cement and 24,722 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Four ships namely Emerald Park, MT Swat, Grand Ruby and APL Brisbane sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz Cape Negro, Hyundai Advance, Grand Ruby, Custodia Hellas and Emerald Park are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Hyundai Advance and Orient Stride expected to sail on Thursday, while another three vessels viz Sealo, Kota Ganteng and Cape Negro are expected to sail on Friday. One vessel viz Red Sea Spirit due to arrive on Thursday, while another six ships namely MT Lalazar, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Krikelo, J. Friend, Yong An 2 and Ocean Frontier are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 47,069 tonnes diesel oil; 6,032 tonnes edible oil; 7,032 tonnes seeds, 2,959 tonnes coal; 3,075 tonnes cement and 19,516 tonnes containerised cargo. Four ships namely CV Nedlloyd Oceania, CV MSC Agata, MT Bunga Melati-5 and MT Al-Salam II sailed out to sea during the report period.
A total of seven ships namely Ibn Battota, ACX Dahlia, Eddy Stone, Hana, Process, Tassel and Oriental Orchid carrying containers, rice, edible oil, furnace oil and chemicals are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Nedlloyd Oceania, CV MSC Agata, MV Leopard B, MV Antonis, MV Force Ranger, MT Bunga Melati-5 and MT Al-Salam II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rape seeds, coal, edible oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Five ships namely Ibn Battota, ACX Dahlia, MT Tassel, MT Process and MT Oriental Orchid due to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and EVTL respectively on Thursday. Three vessels viz CV CMA CGM Rose, CV Maersk Novazzano and MV Shadwan Island due to arrive on Friday, while another vessel viz MT Al-Soor-II is due to arrive on Saturday.
