FBR incentives to 1,014 Karachi RTO officials

Some 1014 officials of Regional Tax Office (RTO), Karachi, have been selected through the internal job posting process for payment of special allowance equal to 100 percent of their basic pay from October 1 by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The sources told Business Recorder here on Friday that the selected officials of the RTO, Karachi, were of different designations from basic pay scale (BPS) five to 16. Sources said that the officials were posted at same places at RTO, Karachi, where they were serving before their selection by the IJP and their responsibilities would remain same.
The RTO officials informed Business Recorder that the FBR had introduced the internal job posting process under its 152 million dollars's Tax Administration Reforms Program (TARP).
The objective of the IJP was to enhance the skills and working ability of the FBR employees by providing them special incentives, the officials added. They said that the criteria of the selection of IJP was based over the total career achievement of the employee, test of his/ her computer skills, conducted by the National Testing Services (NTS), and interviews.
