This has reference to a letter published in Business Recorder on 17-11-2007, which indeed is based on facts. North Karachi's residents, particularly Sector 11-A's section, are now depressed by the current roadway position as well as the delay in completion of under construction roads "from Power House Chowrangi to Nagan Chowrangi".
The area ahead of the under constructed Shell petrol pump looks risky to cross it. The citizens are passing their life full of anxiety as they are facing the awful infrastructure system by which the vital necessities. Such as water supply and telecommunication system, have been totally disturbed.
In fact, the basic necessities of life such as telephone lines and water system are getting out of the reach of the citizens. Our water tanks are vacant while the water tankers' rates are too high as a poor is powerless to pay for it every two or three days.
Besides since two or three visits of City Nazim to the concerned area the situation now has gone worse. The whole area under construction is well planned, but the authorities should have great concern to finish it now as soon as possible so that accidents could be avoided. This request may be granted to ease the situation.
