The Pakistan Muslim League (PML) nominees will win the coming general elections on the basis of the outstanding performance of its government in the last five years, party candidates have said.
The NA-167 candidate Nazir Ahmed Jutt and PP-234 aspirant Ayub Saldera, talking to newsmen on Monday, said the PML government during its 2002-7 term carried out massive development work across the country and Punjab.
"Under the leadership of President Pervez Musharraf, the government rehabilitated the battered economy and steered the country out of near-bankruptcy," said Saldera, adding that now the country's foreign exchange reserves had gone up to over 16 billion dollars which was a record in our history.
