Sui gas supply to Water and Power Development Authority's (WAPDA) thermal power stations of Muzaffargarh, Lalpir, Kotadu and Abdul Hakim remained suspended on Sunday and Monday as unidentified miscreants blew up a gas pipeline near Sui on Sunday.
Explosive planted near a gas supply line in Dolly area of Sui by some miscreant went off on Sunday resulting in disruption of gas supply. Northern Gas Pipelines Limited sources told on phone that gas supply to Pak Arab Fertiliser, Multan and all power plants of WAPDA, including KAPCO's Kot Adu Power Station, Muzaffargarh Thermal Power, Rousch Thermal Power Station, Abdul Hakim (Khanewal district), Piran Ghaib Natural Gas Power Station, Multan were suspended.
They said gas supply to other industries in Punjab might suspend. SNGPL sources said that gas supply might be restored anytime today (Monday) as engineers were working to restore the supply line.
