Mian Mohammad Riaz, candidate for the Vice Chairman of Lahore division of Pakistan Flour Mills Association for the year 2007-2008, has announced to join the group of Haji Basheer, a founder member of Pakistan Flour Mills Association, parting his ways with the Bilal Aslam Sufi.
He announced this while addressing a press conference with Haji Basheer, Haji Maqsood Chairman Flour Mills of the Punjab Zone and Haji Waheed Vice Chairman of Lahore division at association's office here on Wednesday.
Criticising the Bilal Sufi group he said that the group creating difference in the association for own personal gains while purpose of joining Haji Basheer group was to end the differences. He also said that he would accept all the decisions of Haji Basheer and fully support him.
While talking to the newsmen about the sealing of flour mills of Haji Maqsood and Haji Basheer said that there were technical problems but the main issue was the shortage of wheat and the mills don't have the storage of wheat. They denied these allegations that mills were involved in the smuggling of flour and artificial shortage to increase the prices.
On the question of the response of the Fortified Flour they said that the response of the people was satisfactory and there was no difference in the price of simple flour and Fortified flour.
