OMV may invest $80 million on gas field

The OMV Petroleum, an Austrian petroleum company, which has recently discovered gas at Latif and Gambit blocks in Sindh, will make an investment of $80 million on the development of gas field, says a press release. This was stated by OMV Petroleum General Manager George Wacktal, who called on Petroleum and Natural Resources Minister Ahsanullah Khan on Wednesday.
The minister said the government was providing best incentives and a level-playing-field to the investors in oil and gas exploration. He also said the new petroleum policy envisages world standard incentives and facilities for the prospective investors, which would attract investment in oil and gas exploration.
Ahsanullah Khan said the government would ensure continuity of reforms and policies introduced in the oil and gas sector and would facilitate the investors in this regard.-PR
