Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal Deputy Secretary General and Naib Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Liaquat Baloch has said that the JI would accept every decision of All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM).
Talking to NNI on Wednesday, Liaquat Baloch pointed out that the JI is part of the APDM and it would accept its every decision, adding that his party stand is that there is no benefit of holding of elections in the present circumstance. He said free and fair elections is impossible in the absent of independent Election Commission and judiciary.
The MMA leader demanded of General Pervez Musharraf to quit power, restore judiciary in its shape before November 2, reinstate sacked judges, set up national caretaker government with consensus of all political parties and neutral Election Commission.
He made it clear that according to the Supreme Court verdict, General Musharraf is unacceptable within or without uniform and noted that the military dictator established his loyal judiciary through extra-constitutional measures. Liaquat Baloch said the lawyers are continuing boycott and protest against the judges took oath under the new Provisional Constitut-ional Order (PCO).
