Special Judicial Magistrate on Thursday accepted bail application of a US citizen and handed him over to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). A US citizen Robert Menfertz was presented in the court of Masood Janjua, Special Judicial Magistrate by Civil Lines Police as he was arrested under Official Secret Act 1923 by law enforcement agencies on Wednesday.
Robert was making President Musharraf change of command ceremony film held on Wednesday in Hockey Stadium from a nearby five star hotel room. The ceremony was held under tight security and only official media was allowed to cover it where General Musharraf handed over the stick of command to new Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani. Law enforcement agencies arrested Robert from the hotel under Official Secret Act 1923 and handed him over to Civil Lines Police for further investigation.
