Hu Jintao hails Musharraf

Chinese President Hu Jintao on Thursday extended greetings to President Pervez Musharraf on assuming the office of President of Pakistan for the second term. "I would like to extend to your excellency my sincere congratulations and best wishes," said the Chinese President in a message sent to President Musharraf.
Chinese President said, "I believe that under your leadership, the Pakistani government and people will continue to be committed to national stability and development and make greater achievements in all endeavours of national development."
The President Hu Jintao in his felicitation message further said Pakistan is China's good neighbour, good friend, good partner and good brother. "For more than 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, our two countries have respected, understood, trusted and supported each other on the basis of the five principles of peaceful co-existence," Hu Jintao said.
He said,"We have built up all-weather friendship and conducted all-round co-operation." President Hu Jintao in his message to President Musharraf said, "The Chinese side would like to work together with the Pakistani side and make joint efforts to further consolidate our mutually, beneficial co-operation in various areas, enhance the China-Pakistan strategic partnership of co-operation to a new height and contribute to the promotion of the establishment of a harmonious world featuring everlasting peace and common prosperity."
