Pakistan to participate in World Squash Championship

The Pakistan Squash Federation has selected a four-member team to participate in the men's 21st World Squash Championship being played in Chennai, India from December 6 to December 12,2007. The members of the team are: Mansoor Zaman, Aamir Atlas, Farhan Mehboob and Yasir Butt. Fahim Gul has been appointed coach of the team.
PSF sources told Business Recorder that 29 teams have confirmed their participation in the championship. Teams have been divided into 8 pools. Pakistan will play pool matches against India, Kenya and Bermuda.
Members of the national team and the coach called on Air Chief Marshal Tanvir Ahmad who is President of the Pakistan Squash Federation at the Air Headquarters here on Saturday before their departure for Chennai. The PSF president advised the members of Pakistan team to put concerted efforts and work hard to win the prestigious championship.
