EU agrees on stricter rules for air ticket prices

02 Dec, 2007

European Union governments and the European Parliament have agreed on new rules requiring airlines to include taxes, charges and other fees when advertising to consumers.

"From now on passengers will enjoy the benefits of the single market and will receive complete information on the exact ticket prices," Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot said in a statement on Friday.
