The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finalised arrangements for setting up polling stations and booths for coming elections in Sialkot. Official sources here said on Monday that 1,312 polling stations--652 combined, 328 for women, and 332 for men--would be established in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of the district.
A total of 3271 polling booths--1801 for men and 1470 for women--would be set up. Constituency-wise polling stations and polling booths are: NA-110 polling stations, 34 combined, 95 female and 98 male total (227); NA-111, 147 combined, 51 female, 51 female (total 249); NA-112, 157 combined, 60 female, 61 male (total 278); NA-IV, 142 combined, 62 female, 62 male total- (266); NA-V, 172 combined, 60 female, 60 male (total 292).
Officials: 984 male and 328 female presiding officers and 3602 male assistant and 2940 female assistant presiding officers, 3271 polling officers (1470 female polling officers). Total registered voters are 1,475,270, of which, 667,241 are female voters.
