The Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) said on Sunday it had committed to sell as exports 8,207 tonnes of cotton in the week ended December 1.
An Alcotexa official said the sale comprised 50 tonnes of Giza 70, 2,242 tonnes of Giza 88, 3 tonnes of Giza 87, 150 tonnes of Giza 89, 150 tonnes of Giza 85, 5,362 tonnes of Giza 86 and 250 tonnes of Giza 90. The new commitment brings Alcotexa's export commitments for the season, which began in September, to 72,840.5 tonnes worth $150.519 million, the official said.
