Provincial Minister for Housing and Physical Planning Mian Shafqat Ali has said the Quaid-i-Azam Industrial Estate (QIE) is a success story of the public-private partnership.
"With the untiring efforts of QIE Board of Management President Mian Nauman Kabir and the Quaid-i-Azam Industrial Estate has no parallel in the country for which they deserve congratulations," he said in a reception hosted to him by Kabir.
LCCI President Shahid Hassan Sheikh, Senior Vice President Yaqoob Tahir Izhar, Vice President Mubasher Sheikh, President-elect Mohammad Ali Mian, Senior Vice President-elect Mian Muzaffar Ali, Vice President-elect Shafqat Saeed Piracha, Chairman PIAF Mian Abuzar Shad, LCCI former Presidents Iftikahr Ali Malik, Mian Misbahur Rehman and a large number of political personalities attended the function.
Mian Shafqat Ali said his selection as minister in the care-taker set-up was an honour for the whole business community. He said that despite paucity of time he with the co-operation of the business community would take concrete steps to better the housing sector in the province.
He said he hoped the QIE Board of Management would continue serving businessmen of the area with same missionary spirit which they had shown in the past and would ensure completion of all the development work in stipulated period.
Kabir expressed the optimism that Mian Shafqat Ali would work for further strengthening the public-private relations. He said infrastructure wise, the QIE is the best industrial Estate in the country. He said, he hoped the ongoing projects in Phase II would be completed soon since the government was extending it full co-operation.
