Terming the 15 percent price increase notified by Parco as unjustified, a spokesman of LPGAP (LPG Association of Pakistan), a grouping of all licensed LPG marketing companies operating in the country, has said the price increase announced by Parco is the wrong decision at the wrong time.
"We believe the government of Pakistan's decision of November 30 to deregulate the LPG sector is a positive step and one that must lead to lower end-consumer prices. We also believe that all stakeholders in the LPG sector, including producers and marketing companies, must conduct themselves professionally and responsibly", Fasih Ahmed, spokesman for LPGAP, said here on Tuesday.
The 15 percent price increase notified by Parco is unjustified and will unnecessarily burden the LPG consumer at a time when LPG prices are already at an all-time high. We hope that they will reconsider their decision in view of market realities, Fasih added.
