The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has condemned the government over vacating residences from judges, who refused to take oath under the Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO).
Bar Secretary Sarfraz Cheema told bar members gathering at a hunger strike camp and also condemned the rejection of nomination papers of Main Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and said the government had already started rigging the elections. He said the bar members and the people of Pakistan were with Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and his colleagues refusing to take oath and they would disallow the government to take any aggressive and illegal action against them.
He said the bar members were already struggling for the independence of the judiciary and they would disallow the government to take any harsh action against the judges. He also urged the government to release Supreme Court Bar Association president Aitzaz Ahsan.
