Wheat prices up on grain market

Wheat prices maintained upward trend in the local grain market on Wednesday as supply position was tight during the day, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old and new with Bardan maintained surge in their rates, picking up Rs 30 to Rs 1700 and 1715 due to strong demand, they said.
Guwar low type was sharply higher by Rs 200 to Rs 2000 and better quality was up by Rs 50 to Rs 2100, they added. On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh shed Rs 10 to Rs 1900, other types maintained the overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
