BRIndex30 gains 117.31 points

On Wednesday, the BRIndex30 opened in the green zone, with an upward gap of 48.51 points, at 15,289.11, and remained there for whole of the trading time. It closed at 15,357.91 with a net positive change of 117.31 points and percentage change of 0.77.
It experienced intra-day high of 15,364.70 and low of 15,273.09. The volume was 173,338,200 shares, which was 63.29 percent of market total and 105.23 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 273,900,780 and 164,727,100 shares, respectively.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 5,956.16 with a positive change of 50.55 points and percentage change of 0.86. The turnover for this sector was 78,569,700 shares. BR Cement Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 1,715.97 with a net positive change of 9.08 points and percentage change of 0.53. The turnover for this sector was 35,296,800 shares.
BR Oil and Gas Index was the third most active sector. It closed with a turnover of 27,777,000 shares. It closed at 2,431.11 with a net positive change of 3.07 points and percentage change of 0.13. BR Tech. & Comm. Index closed at 1,686.13 with a net upward change of 13.05 points and percentage change of 0.78. Its volume was 13,851,100 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,467.64 with an upward change of 21.85 points and percentage change of 1.51. The turnover for this sector was 2,860,300 shares, which was lowest among BR Indices.
