People facing hardship due to low gas pressure

Although the winter season has just started and there are inclement weather conditions, people have started suffering hardships due to low gas pressure in a number of localities in the provincial capital.
"We are experiencing low gas pressure for the last couple of days and despite complaints no one from utility company has visited our area, a consumer in Wapda Town said. He said Wapda Town and surrounding colonies, including Valencia Town, NFC Colony and other localities are hit by low gas pressure, he added.
A survey conducted by Business Recorder revealed that besides these towns, Sanda, Rewaz Garden, Ram Garh, some areas in Mughalpura and Baghbanpura, Nishat Colony, Shalamar Link Road, Harbanspura, Taj Bagh Housing Scheme, were also among the affected localities.
A company spokesman said here on Thursday that on the advent of winter season, gas consumption is increasing on daily basis due to extensive use of gas in room heaters and water heaters. This situation, he added, is resulting in imbalance between demand and supply of gas. "As a consequence, all our valued consumers may experience low pressure problem in certain localities of towns and cities.
