The sources said the department would facilitate the bangle units' owners to avail SME loans from financial institutions, which help them expand their business with latest manufacturing equipment. "It will help enhance the technical skills of the workers and enable them to adopt modern techniques in line with the international trend needed to compete in the international market," they said.
They opined that it would also generate job opportunities in Sindh and improve. They said that the glass bangle units were located in residential areas, which not only health hazard but was also causing voice pollution. Therefore, the provincial government had approved a proposal to shift the units from residential areas. For this purpose, the provincial govt had provided 100-acre land for glass bangle industry zone, they added.
