Security arrangements finalised in Rahim Yar Khan

All arrangements for security during the coming elections have been finalised with district police, elite force, Punjab constabulary, civil defence, and national volunteers assigned duties by the district police officer (DPO).
Police sources told newsmen that DPO Syed Ahsan Mahboob, while addressing police officials from across the district at Sadiq Shaheed Police Lines, directed all security personnel and law enforcers to ensure impartiality in the polls and perform their duties without fear or favour.
A total of 1,493 polling stations had been established, with 148 assigned A category, 444 B and 901 C category by the police in terms of sensitivity and importance, and security personnel presence, said sources. The personnel of all sections of the police had been directed to remain active in ensuring their assigned duties, they added.
