The new Land Policy - February 2006 - of the Government of Sindh provided a solid platform for the private sector to invest in the education sector. This was stated by Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister, former Justice Abdul Qadir Halepoto, while talking to Caretaker Federal Education Minister Shams Kassem Lakha, who called on him at the Chief Minister House here on Friday.
They discussed at length matters pertaining to the "Education City" and its speedy development along with the infrastructure and utilities to be provided so that meaningful activity could be generated by all the stakeholders.
The Chief Minister appreciated the new land policy of the Sindh government, and said this had provided a solid platform for the private sector to invest in the education sector. This, he further stated, would not only help impart education and skills but also create innumerable jobs in all the categories.
Both the Chief Minister and the Federal Education Minister agreed to hold further meetings in this regard to move ahead with maximum assistance of the federal government in providing basic infrastructure to the Education City.
