Wheat, til rapeseed, rise on grain market

Wheat prices soared on the grain market on Saturday as amid tight supplies and other items also followed the same path in process of trading, dealers added. On the cereal side, wheat old and new types was sharply higher by Rs 100 to Rs 1800-1815, they said. Other commodity items remained unchanged during the thin business, they said.
On the seed side, rapeseed Nawabshahlane posted fresh gain of Rs 150 to Rs 1450-1500, they said. Dadulane picked up the same amount at Rs 1300-1350. Cakes, however, were lower by Rs 30 to Rs 530-540. Til low type gained sharply by Rs 100 to Rs 2750 and best type also rose by Rs 25 to Rs 2875, they said. Other commodities did not move any side as demand was matching with the supplies, they added.
