The Federal Caretaker Minister for Population Welfare, A.J.Khan on Monday while praising efforts of the NWFP Population Welfare Department promised more funds so that the department could play its role in a better way. A.J.Khan held out this assurance during his call on meeting with the NWFP Caretaker Minister for Population Welfare, Seeme Riaz.
A.J.Khan said he would do his utmost to release more funds for completion of the projects of the Population Welfare Department for the benefit of the women folk of the frontier province. He remained with her for some time and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Seeme Riaz briefed in detail the federal minister regarding pace of work on new as well as ongoing schemes of her department. Director General Population Welfare, Noor Nawaz Khattak was also present on this occasion.
Seeme Riaz while briefly speaking on the occasion said that her department was striving hard to achieve the objective of better future and bright Pakistan by controlling the rapidly growing population.
She added that limited resources against the growing population creating problems, however, the Population Welfare Department was doing its best to bridge the gap between the resources and the population to facilitate the common man.
