Indian Army chief fears increased infiltration across LoC

Indian Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor feared increased infiltration from across the Line of Control by 'Jihadis' in coming days due to political situation in Pakistan. Media reports quoting him said "possibility of Jehadis and fundamentalists from Pakistan coming into this side is not ruled out."
It was difficult to infiltrate in winter due to snow but militants could use routes south of the Pir Panjal to enter into occupied Kashmir, he was talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a seminar here on Thursday. However, he said Indian security forces were keeping a strong vigil all along the Line of Control to check them. When asked about upcoming military exercise between Indian and Chinese army, he said it would be focused on counter- terror operations.
