Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Pakistan Peoples Party candidate for National Assembly NA-250, Karachi submitted a list of sensitive polling station of NA-250 comprising 47 of PS-112 and 19 polling stations in PS-113 to District Returning Officer and Returning Officer South, Karachi.
Mirza Ikhtiar has requested for the deployment of additional special security forces at those sensitive polling stations to avoid any rigging and violence on the day of election. Dr Baig alleged that in the light of record rigging and unfair means witnessed in the last bye-elections for NA-250, Karachi, it is vitally important that additional special security forces are posted at the polling stations to ensue free, fair and transparent election.
Dr Baig said the proposed measure will help maintain law and order situation and would avoid any mishap on the day of election in those localities. Halim Siddiqui has also requested for additional security at sensitive polling stations.-PR
