The Provincial Election Commission will establish 68 polling stations for PB-46 Kharan constituency, out of which 33 polling stations have been declared as sensitive, sources in district administration told APP here Thursday.
They said that the administration would beef up security at these polling stations in the district. All necessary arrangements will soon be finalised for holding elections for constituency, PB-46 Kharan. A total of 65280 registered voters including 31377 men and 33903 women would exercise their right of franchise to elect their representative from the constituency in the district. The Election Commission has organised training programmes for presiding officers in collaboration with UNDP in the constituency.
Campaigns for elections have been started for PB-46 constituency. Political activists and workers are visiting from door to door for canvassing to get support of the electorate. Corner meetings are being held and the workers of the candidates are busy in preparation of slips for guiding voters to cast their votes in favour of their candidates.
