'Environment conducive for polls'

Caretaker Minister for Interior Hamid Nawaz on Thursday said there is no chaos in the country and environment is very conducive for the elections. "There is no chaos, everyone is campaigning peacefully and the result would show that who was creating chaos," he said in response to a question at a ceremony here in Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) headquarters.
The minister said that Swat Operation is not linked with the lifting of emergency adding that " Swat operation is near completion and the terrorists are on the run due to the cooperation of the local people". Regarding the deposed judges, he said they are not under house arrest and are free to move.
Their statements are being published in newspapers so how one can say that they are under house arrest, he added. Regarding the release of Aitzaz Ahsan, he said " we are in contact with the Punjab government and also want to release him but he should also act responsibly instead of creating law and order situation".
