Jamaat-e-Islami candidates seek withdrawal of nomination papers

The candidates of Jamaat-e-Islami have submitted applications to the concerned returning officers for the withdrawal of their nomination papers.
From the constituency of NA-250 and 251, Raja Arif Sultan submitted the application, H.M Hanif from the constituency of NA-249 and PS-111, Dr Mairajul Huda Siddiqi from the constituency of NA-240 and PS-108, Abdul Ghaffar Umer and Syed Rasheed Akbar from the constituency of NA-251, Muhammad Amin and Muhammad Yamin from the constituency of PS-110, Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam from the constituency of PS-113 while Zakir Mahenti also from the same constituency, Muhammad Usman from the constituency of PS-112 and Hidayatullah from the constituency of PS-109.
Spokesman of JI Sindh Chapter Mujahid Channa told Business Recorder that in total 18 JI candidates submitted forms on national assembly seats and 43 for provincial assembly from the platform of Muttahida Majlis Amal.
Eleven papers were submitted on national assembly seats from Karachi while seven from Interior Sindh while on Sindh assembly seats 25 papers were filed from Karachi and 18 from rest of the province, he added. He said apart from this, some JI candidates also filed nomination forms independently who would also withdraw the papers on December 15.
