Business offices abroad: Prgmea hails TDAP assistance to exporters

15 Dec, 2007

Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers Association (Prgmea) Chairman Ijaz A Khokhar has welcomed the announcement of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) for providing assistance to local exporters for establishing business offices abroad.
In a letter to TDAP Secretary Naved Arif, he proposed setting up Prgmea's business offices in Dubai, UK and the US. He hoped that textile exporters' community would also give a positive response to TDAP's announcement by setting up such offices abroad.
He said that the opening of such offices was badly needed for various reasons including the constant refusal of foreign buyers to visit Pakistan. He added that this would encourage display of Pakistani products to compete in the world markets with the support of the government.
