Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 250,430 tonnes cargo including 191,267 tonnes import, 59,163 tonnes export cargo and 3,676 containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 157,313 tonnes dry cargo including 98,114 tonnes general cargo; 29,970 tonnes fertiliser; 14,030 tonnes coal; 3,050 tonnes rock Phosphate; 4,192 tonnes rice; 7,957 tonnes cement and 93,117 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Twelve ships namely Mir Damad, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Cape Negro, OEL Shreyas, Kota Mesra, Bunga Kenari, Chang Le Men, Yang Hai, Handytankers Glory, Cherry, Pacific Arrow and Sinin sailed out to sea during the report period.
Eleven vessels viz Bunga Kenari, OEL Shreyas, Itha Bhum, MOL Admiration, Wan Hai-311, Conti Harmony, Valiant, NCC Asir, Golden Arrow II, Bright Ocean 2 and Spica are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Ariella, MOL Admiration and Wan Hai-311 expected to sail on Monday, while two vessels viz Orient Stride and Conti Harmony expected to sail on Tuesday. Two vessel viz A Dragon and Cosco Lian Yun Gang due to arrive on Monday, while six ships namely MT Johar, Lucky-7, Golden Union, APL Brisbane, Helene Rickmers and Iron Butterfly are due to arrive on Tuesday.

Three ships namely MT Archangelos-R, CV Norfolk Express and CV MSC Germany sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Two vessels viz MV Seattle Trader and MT Sinar Agra are expected to sail on Monday. A total of four ships carrying containers and chemicals are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV MSC Germany, CV Norfolk Express, MV Bernice, MV Sophia, MT Vema Cape, MT Sinar Agra and MV Seattle Trader are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, furnace oil, chemicals and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Four ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Nedlloyd Asia, MT Eastern Amenity and MV Lance Lot Carrying containers, chemicals and iron ore due to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Iron Ore and Coal Berth respectively on Monday.
