Death of footballer Sumbal Khan mourned

Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, General Secretary Ahmed Khan Yar Lodhi and Marketing Director Naveed Haider have grieved the death former Pakistan football captain Sumbal Khan.
The NWFP-based Sumbal became the fifth captain of Pakistan in the 60-year history of PFF when he led Pakistan in the Four-Nation Colombo Cup 1955 in Dhaka. As centre-half for Pakistan and Peshawar's Warsak Football Club, Sumbal was among few players who played in the First National Soccer Championship of Pakistan in Karachi's YMCA Ground in 1948 and went on to represent the NWFP till 1961 in the PFF's show piece event.
