Rauf elected RCCI president unopposed

Chaudhry Abdul Rauf, Sheikh Hafeez Ahmed and Raja Aamir Iqbal have been elected unopposed as president, senior vice president and vice president of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce (RCCI) for the year 2007-08, respectively.
The newly elected office bearers will take the oath of their slots on December 31st.
According to the Returning Officer of the Executive Committee of RCCI S.M. Nasim, no candidate submitted candidature against these candidates hence, all the three stand elected unopposed says a press release issued here on Monday. The AGM, which was scheduled to be held on December 24 has been postponed due to lack of quorum and now will be held on December 31st.
The newly president and other office bearers have thanked the members of RCCI for reposing confidence in them and for electing them for the tenure of 2007-08.
They expressed their firm resolve to work for the cause of the business community and resolve chamber's genuine problems. The outgoing president of the RCCI Dr Hassan Sarooh Akram and other team members also thanked the RCCI members for extending their complete support during their tenure.
They also felicitated the newly elected team and expressed the hope that they will work for the promotion and progress of this chamber and prayed for their success.
