Siraiki Ittehad to support PPP

The Pakistan Siraiki Ittehad (PSI) and Anjuman Ittehadian Abbasia (AIA) have announced their countrywide support to Pakistan People's Party (PPP) for the January 8 elections. The chairman, PSI and AIA leader Colonel Abdul Jabbar Abbasi (Retd) announced this in a press conference here on Monday.
He said that the PSI and AIA would support the PPP for all provincial and national assembly seats, except those being contented by their party candidates. Abbasi said that he would soon meet the PPP chairperson, Benazir Bhutto in Karachi in connection with formal unification with the party.
He said that Bhutto is the only political leader in the country who has strong public support, adding their Ittehad also back her party. He also said that 60 million Siraikis of the country are supporting the PPP to ensure its success in the January elections.
