146 polling stations set up in Nawabshah district

The Assistant Election Commissioner, Nawabshah, Ali Asgher Sial, and all the Returning Officers have announced the number of polling stations to be establish in Nawabshah district for January 8 elections. In Nawabshah Taluka 146 polling stations and 353 polling booths will be established on January 8.
Masood Ahmed Kourejo, Returning Officer for NA-213 Nawabshah-I told APP that Taluka Nawabshah includes the constituencies NA-213 Nawabshah-I, PS-24 Nawabshah-II and some area of PS-25 Nawabshah-II. He said that out of 146 polling stations, 29 will be for male voters, 30 for female voters, and 87 combined polling stations will be established where female and male polling booths would be separately established in the same building.
Out of 353 polling booths in Taluka Nawabshah there would be 203 male polling booths and 150 female polling booths on January 8. Total 1,79,875 voters are registered in Taluka Nawabshah. Out of these 96,622 are male and 83,253 are female voters. The Returning Officer of NA-214 Nawabshah-II, Ramesh Kumar told APP that 312 polling stations will be established in NA-213, out of which 58 will be for male, 58 for female and 195 will be combined. He said that 629 polling booths would be established in this constituency, including 314 male and 315 female polling booths. Total 283,229 voters are registered here; out of which 151,579 are male and 131,650 are female.
Ramesh said that in PS-26 Nawabshah-III there will be 130 polling stations, out of which 19 will be for only male and 19 would be for only females, while 92 would be combined with separate booths of male and female voters. He said that total 288 polling booths would be established out of those 158 would be for male and 130 for female. There are 123,179 voters registered in this constituency; out of which 65,998 are male and 57,181 are female voters.
He said that in PS-27 Nawabshah-IV there will be total 126 polling stations, out of which 25 will be for only male and 25 would be for only females, while 75 would be combined with separate booths of male and female voters. He said that total 257 polling booths would be established. Out of those 128 would be for male and 129 for female. There are 119,462 voters registered in this constituency. Out of these 62,169 are male and 57,293 are female voters.
There will be 132 polling stations in the provincial assembly constituency PS-28 Nawabshah-V. Out of these 22 male, 22 female and 88 would be the combined polling stations. Total 264 polling booths would be established in this constituency. Out of those 132 would be for male and 132 would be for female. There are 116,751 total voters registered in this constituency out of which 64,502 are male and 52,249 are female voters.
