Gul terms army deployment in Sindh unwise

Former ISI chief Lieutenant General Hameed Gul (Retd) has termed decision about deployment of army in Sindh as unwise and demanded to resolve issue through political means.
Talking to newsmen on Sunday, Hameed Gul pointed out that it was not a right decision about the deployment of army in Sindh at a time when the security forces were launching operation in NWFP and Balochistan. He said it is a big challenge for the army leadership is how to avoid confrontation between army and masses in the present circumstance.
The former ISI chief held the rulers responsible for the prevailing situation and announced that it would not be sensible decision to attend the rulers All Parties Conference. He claimed that all parties agreed on the removal of dictatorship and urged they should unite on it and the solution to judiciary issue could be found later on.
Hameed Gul said the time has come that all politicians to give up their personal interests and render sacrifice to save the country and they should play their national role. He urged that all political parties should agree on formation of national government for the holding of free and fair elections.
