Minister appeals for peace and solidarity

Caretaker provincial Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Mahmood A Sheikh has said that the tragic and untimely death of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in Liaqatbagh is a national loss as Pakistan has lost her finest democratic leader at a time when we most needed her.
Commenting on the death of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Sheikh said that the whole nation should remain cool, peaceful and united as Pakistan is passing through a crucial period and it is the need of the hour that we should foil the designs of the enemies of Pakistan by showing our collective strength of unity. He appealed to the people to remain calm and peaceful.
The elements behind this heinous carnage will be brought to book, he said. The Minister further said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was an asset not only of Pakistan but for the whole Muslim ummah. She was a democratic face of Pakistan who always worked for betterment of people and the country. She spent her life to strengthen democracy in Pakistan, he added. We, the Pakistanis, fully share the pain of Bhutto family in this hour of agony, he said.
The minister also prayed for other victims and an early recovery of the injured persons. He said the whole nation shares the pain of the affected families. Pakistani nation should face this sad moment with courage and unity, as national harmony is the best answer to this tragedy.
