02 Jan, 2008

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has warned Arbab Ghulam Rahim to desist from "spitting venom" against PPP leadership. In a press statement issued here on Tuesday, Nisar Khuhro said that while millions of people all over country are in a state of mourning and grief over the martyrdom of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, characters like Arbab Rahim were rubbing salt on the wounds of people.
He alleged that Arbab Rahim was establishing a private militia in Tharparker and some police officials were providing training and arms and ammunition to them. This private militia has established check-posts on different routes in Tharparker and is looting and torturing the passengers on roads and streets, according to Khurho.
On the other hand, he alleged that Arbab Ghulam Rahim has shifted his maternal brother's son Gumaan Singh Sodi to a neighbouring country along with Rs 2 billion looted from Sindh exchequer. Nisar Khuhro said that Arbab Rahim would be held accountable to the law of the land and constitution.
