Dr Khalid Pervaiz awarded best GCU teacher

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has declared distinguished statistician Professor Dr Muhammad Khalid Pervaiz, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of GCU Lahore for the best university teacher's award for the year 2004.
Dr Pervaiz will get Rs 100,000 cash award with a certificate of distinction recognising his services to promote statistical sciences, excellent research work and his contribution in the academic uplift of the university.
Dr Pervaiz is currently working as chairperson of the Statistics Department of GCU Lahore since 1999 and also working under the tenure track since 2005. He did his Ph D in Statistics from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom in 1983.
Dr Khalid Pervaiz teaching interests spans over probability and distribution theory, multivariate analysis, sampling techniques, operational research, applied econometrics, survey research methods, industrial Statistics, research methodology, survival data analysis and quality management and quality assurance. He also participated in number of seminars, symposiums and conferences with in the country and abroad.
