PPP AJK announces 40-day mourning

AJK chapter of Pakistan People's Party here Tuesday announced 40-day mourn over the tragic demise of party's chairperson and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto across Azad Jammu Kashmir. President PPP AJK Chaudhry Abdul Majeed Advocate announced while addressing a news conference.
Top party leaders and a large number of party activists, including Central Deputy Secretary General Shoukat Raja Advocate, District President Chaudhry Mushtaq Ahmed, Arshad Burki, Javed Iqbal Mirza and others were present on this occasion.
Majeed said all district and tehsil offices of the PPP AJK have been directed to place a condolence book to receive messages of those visiting PPP offices to express their feelings over the sad demise of Benazir Bhutto. Party offices at all levels will hold condolence references to pay tributes to the martyred leader.
Chaudhry Majeed fully endorsed and appreciated the elevation of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as party's chairman and successor of shaheed Benazir Bhutto. He reposed full confidence in the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari. He said as representative of 13 million people of Jammu and Kashmir he would stand shoulder to shoulder with Bilawal and Asif Zardari for bringing true democracy and constitutional rule in the country.
He strongly condemned the brutal murder of Benazir Bhutto. He termed the death of Bhutto a great loss to the nation. He said Benazir Bhutto was the symbol of national unity and harmony, adding that PPP would follow her mission to strengthen democracy in the country.
