SCBA to hold hunger strike camps for Aitzaz's release

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has announced to hold all over Pakistan clockwise hunger strike camps to force the government to release Bar President Aitzaz Ehsan whose detention has been extended one month more and others fighting for independence of judiciary.
It also demanded to hold independent inquiry into targeted killing of Benazir Bhuttoo. The camp held by the bar in Lahore Press Club premises was concluded here in which Vice President Ghulam Nabi Bhatti, Anwar Kamal, Muhammad Ramazan Chaudhry, Muhammad Azhar Siddique, Bushra Aitzaz, Nasira Iqbal and a delegation of the Pakistan Medical Association headed by Yasmin Rashid, journalists, students and the civil society also joined.
Nabi said lawyers would continue their struggle unless the judiciary was restored. He said the lawyers also with journalists condemned the print and electronic media ban. He said that the lawyers demanded independent election commission. He told political parties, human rights activists and people to join their struggle. The lawyers later staged a protest outside Ehsan's home and prayed for Benazir Bhutto.
