CPLC looks forward to public support

03 Jan, 2008

Causing damage and looting properties of the citizen of the country is the mission of terrorists; these elements could only be discouraged with the help of public.
Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) Member Amir Rafiq Qureshi expressed these views here on Wednesday while talking to the citizens who have come to register their complaints against the Police. At this occasion Tahir Manzoor Chaudhry, Member Committee was also present.
He appealed to the public to discourage those elements who are bent upon on damaging and looting properties of the country, as no patriotic could take part in such activities. "Only terrorists and enemies of the country could act in such a way. Ms Benazir Bhutto was not only a political leader of Pakistan but a world leader. Her death is deeply heart-felt not only by her family or Peoples Party but by the whole nation. Her mission was to eradicate terrorism. Therefore we should all combat terrorism to forward her mission," he added.
According to him, the civilised nations of the world do agitate to express their rage but looting and arson activities are the work of professional terrorists who like to destabilise the country. Therefore we should discourage such elements instead of making them strong.
Amir Rafiq Qureshi said CPLC is a department set up by the government that is working to redress the grievances of the public against the police. He said the issues and crimes could not be ended without the help of general public. He warned the Lahore Police that they should take interest in solving the grievances of the public, as it was been witnessed that the aggrieved people could not get their complaints redressed without bribe and recommendations of the big guns. He asked the aggrieved people of Lahore to come to the office of CPLC so that justice can be ensured to them.
