Ibad ensures compensation for Karachi's damages

Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan has ensured the continuity of ongoing development programmes in the province at all cost. He was talking to people during a visit to various city areas on Tuesday night. He also visited the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi and observed the localities.
He pointed out that during the last few years, the government has taken major steps to bolster the ruined economy and to bring an outstanding improvement in every sector, which has also helped in providing employment opportunities.
On the occasion when the people pointed out that a number of industrial units were damaged as a result of loot and plunder, the Governor informed that he had held a meeting with the representatives of industrial and business communities who apprised him about the extent of damages caused.
However, he said, it is a positive indication that these people have deep love with the country and expressed the determination to rehabilitate their units and continue the economic process. He said the government, too, would extend help in this regard and the situation will be brought under control with collective efforts.
"It is the responsibility of all of us to keep strict watch on anti-people and anti-state elements and show greater unity, patience and tolerance in their ranks. He pointed out that a committee has been formed to assess the damages, which would be compensated in the light of its report. Governor said it has been decided to take further steps for maintaining law and order during emergency situations.
He said that with persistent efforts, a positive image of Karachi was build up globally and to maintain it is the responsibility of every patriotic citizen.
