Javed Hashmi, vice-president of PML-N, has opposed the postponement of general elections, describing it as harmful to the country's stability, integrity, and spirit of free, fair and impartial elections.

"He said, "We would set the future strategy with the consent of other political parties to meet the situation," he said, adding that now delayed elections would not be held under the supervision of General Pervez Musharraf, and any other ruler would supervise it.
