In district Gujranwala, cases have been registered against 2,600 persons for vandalising public and private property, arson, loot and plunder in the three days following Benazir Bhutto's assassination. Police sources said that 148 accused had been identified by name under the Terrorism Act, while 104 had been arrested and sent to prison.
