Gangs of drug smugglers smashed, claims ANF

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 45 kilograms heroin, 86 kilograms charas, nine kilograms opium, impounded three vehicles and arrested 30 drug smugglers, including four foreigners, in 18 different operations against gangs of drug smugglers.
This was disclosed by Brigadier Asif Alvi, Regional Director and Force Commander of the ANF Rawalpindi region, here on Thursday during talking to news men. He said, "We have arrested masterminds, financiers and facilitators and smashed completely the gangs of drugs smugglers during these operations."
Briefing the newsmen, he added that after responding to the information received from the reliable sources of the force, the ANF teams raided dens of the drug smugglers and pushers and succeeded in wiping out several gangs.
