The Nazim, City District Government Karachi (CDGK), Syed Mustafa Kamal on Thursday has said that the CDGK's Citizen's Complaints Information System (CCIS), 1339 has simplified people's access to the city nazim, DCO, MD KWSB, Town nazims and other high-ups and now they can bring their grievances against civic agencies immediately.
Talking to the representatives of an international ISO certified organisation at his office, Mustafa kamal briefed them about the civic facilities provided to the Karachiites so that they could live a decent life. He pointed out that, besides town nazims, the CDGK officials have been involved in the process of redressing public grievances expeditiously.
Kamal referred to the unique CCI system that has ensured public participation in the CGGK's affairs, which will help continuing development work. All concerned officers in city government and its allied departments have been strictly directed to ensure speedy resolution of problems registered through the 1339, Kamal said adding that whenever any negligence was committed in this regard, disciplinary action was taken against officers and staff found accountable for the reason.
The nazim also informed the visitors that latest technology is being used to reduce the people's problems and to remove hurdles while communicating with city government high ups.
In future, Kamals said, development works, mainly water and sewerage related, will have a comprehensive link with the 1339 which will enable the government to pay greater attention on the areas for which higher number complaints would be received.
