Lack of transport hits supply of tomatoes

Non-availability of transportation has badly hit the supply of tomatoes and onions from interior Sindh to Karachi. The disturbed supplies have caused shortage of tomatoes and onions in Karachi, while the growers also suffered losses, a private TV channel reported.
The crops are ripe for sale in Sanghar, Badin and Mirpurkhas districts but the means of transport have not been available to carry the crops to market, Qamar-uz-Zaman, President SCA told.
